In Ecclesiastes 3 Salomon states that there is a time for everything. A time to be born, a time to die, a time to weep and a time to laugh.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
- To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
- A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
- A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
- A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
- A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
- A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
- A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
- A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
We are at the end of another year and the beginning of a new year. For some it was the best year ever and for other it was a very hard year. Some had rejoiced, others wept and others didn’t know how they are going to continue this life journey.
When I look back at this year, I could see the hand of the Lord Jesus in my life. He carried me through this year. He sustained, provided and encouraged me through every situation and helped me to press on and not give up. He draw me closer to Him in a deeper relationship with Him and He is changing my life. He is my only hope for the new year and I don’t want to do 2024 without Him.
As in the physical, there is also changes in the spiritual. Jesus told us in Luke that these changes will come and that we need to be ready.
Luke 21:20-32
20. And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26. Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29. And He spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30. When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
In the physical, when you see what is going on worldwide, and there are no answers for all the problems nations are facing and disasters that are striking, you can relate to what Jesus is talking about in the above verses. Just look at what is going on in Israel, that is proof enough to know that we are entering a new season.
Spiritually, I have noticed that God is busy cleaning His bride by purifying fire. This is not a nice process, but very necessary as only a clean and holy bride is acceptable for the Lord Jesus. Be willing to be cleansed and purify, the price is too big to lose. Give your co-operation to the Holy Spirit and make the changes that He leads you to make. Time is running out fast.
On the 15th of December in my morning quite time I received this verse in Revelation 16.
Revelation 16:15
15. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
That evening I received these verses in 2 Peter 3
2 Peter 3:8-15
8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13. Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
The Lord clearly warned me, that we need to be ready. His coming for His bride is going to be very sudden and we need to be awake and ready.
On the 21st of December I had a dream.
I was on a passenger train, but there were only a few people on the train. I was standing at the door and the train started to depart and the doors closed. There was a person still on the platform and I shouted, “Do you want to come too?” I tried to open the door, but it was shut and the person stayed behind.
The Lord pressed it on my heart to write this and place it on my blog. I really pray that if it is you on the platform that you will make the decision to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today, before it is too late. He could come at any moment all the signs are there.
When you make the decision for Jesus and you have sincere remorse for your sins, pray this prayer earnestly.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus Christ also died for me on Golgotha and that Jesus paid a very high price for me. Lord Jesus today I come to You and lay my life before You. I realise that I am a sinner according to Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Today I confess with my mouth that I am a sinner and ask You to forgive me and wash me in the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you that You accept me as your child and that you have forgiven me my sins. Thank you that I also may know like in John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them gave He gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed on His name.” that I am Your child now. Holy Spirit I ask You when I sin again, that You will convince me to repent immediately.
Father, I ask that You will cover me with the blood of Jesus and to break every chain that Satan got on me in my life. Thank you, Father, that You forgave me and that I am saved now as Your Child. I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen.
If you are already born again, but you have strayed away and are not serving the Lord as you should, pray the next prayer:
Heavenly Father I come to Your throne of mercy, with a heart filled with remorse, regarding all the wrong things that I have done lately. I confess all my sins anew before You and ask You to also forgive me where I have gone astray. I thank You that You did not leave me alone in this time and that Your Holly Spirit leads me back to You. I thank you in Jesus Name! Amen.
Keep your eyes on Jesus. I hope to see you on the “train”.
