Philippians 3:10
10 And this, so that I may know Him [experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being continually conformed [inwardly into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did]; 11so that I may attain to the resurrection [that will raise me] from the dead.
Not merely to know about Him, but to know Him personally—to walk every moment with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That desire itself is evidence that the Holy Spirit is already drawing you into a deeper relationship.
John 6: 44 -45
44. No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45. It is written in the prophets, and they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto Me.
Philippians 2:13
For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfil your purpose] for His good pleasure.
God supports the believer, but it is the believer’s responsibility to do what he has been called by God to do.
Here is a guide that I pray will serve as a lifelong compass for our journey with God our Father, Jesus the Son and Holy Spirit…
Living Every Day with God.
Christianity is not primarily about becoming a better religious person. It is about living in a growing relationship with the living God. Eternal life begins the moment we know Him
John 17:3
3. And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You has sent.
And every day thereafter becomes an invitation to walk beside Him.
The Father has adopted us as His beloved children. Jesus has redeemed us through His blood and continually intercedes for us. The Holy Spirit lives within every believer, not merely as a visitor, but as God’s permanent presence. Therefore, our greatest calling is not simply to accomplish things for God but to learn to live with God.
This relationship grows much like any healthy relationship. It requires time, attention, love, trust, obedience, humility, and continual surrender. God does not force intimacy upon us; He lovingly invites us into it.
The first principle is this: Seek God’s presence before seeking God’s blessings. More than answered prayers, more than guidance, more than success in ministry, seek God Himself. Moses understood this when he prayed, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here” (Exodus 33:15). God’s greatest gift has always been Himself.
Secondly, cultivate continual awareness of God’s presence. Although we cannot always feel Him emotionally, He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Throughout the day, quietly acknowledge Him. Speak to Him as naturally as you would speak to a trusted friend. Invite Him into every decision, every concern, every joy, every disappointment, and every conversation. Learning to walk with God is learning to include Him in everything.
Prayer is not merely presenting requests. It is conversation. Speak honestly to your Father. Worship Jesus with love and gratitude. Welcome the Holy Spirit to search your heart. Then spend time listening. God often speaks through Scripture, gentle convictions, quiet impressions, Godly wisdom, circumstances, and an increasing inner peace rather than through dramatic experiences.
The Word of God must become the foundation of this relationship. Read it not simply to gain knowledge but to meet its Author. Before opening your Bible, pray, “Holy Spirit, teach me. Show me Jesus. Transform my heart.” Read slowly. Meditate deeply. Ask what God is revealing about Himself before asking what He expects from you.
Obedience is the language of love. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” Every act of obedience, even the smallest one, deepens fellowship with Him. Often the Holy Spirit guides us one step at a time. Faith grows by obeying today’s instruction rather than demanding tomorrow’s roadmap. [Maybe He has to give it to you in “little pieces” at first, seeing that you wouldn’t be able to take hold of it otherwise. But He already has the fullness of your desire in His hands, and little by little, He will often give you what you long for.]
Learn to recognize the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit. His guidance will always agree with Scripture. He produces peace rather than confusion, conviction rather than condemnation, humility rather than pride, holiness rather than compromise, and love rather than selfishness. His voice is often gentle because He desires relationship rather than control.
Surrender must become a daily habit. Each morning place your plans, ambitions, fears, finances, relationships, possessions, reputation, and future into God’s hands. The safest place in the universe is the centre of God’s will. True freedom comes through complete surrender.
Remain sensitive to sin. The closer we walk with God, the quicker we recognize attitudes or actions that grieve the Holy Spirit. When He convicts you, do not hide or justify yourself. Confess quickly, receive Christ’s forgiveness immediately, and continue walking. Do not allow guilt to keep you from the One who has already paid for your forgiveness.
Cultivate a thankful heart. Gratitude keeps the soul soft toward God. Thank Him for both obvious blessings and hidden mercies. Even in suffering, remember that God remains good, faithful, sovereign, and present.
Trust God during seasons when He seems silent. Every believer experiences times when God’s presence feels distant. Feelings rise and fall, but God’s promises never change. Faith grows strongest when it continues trusting despite silence. The deepest roots often grow in hidden seasons.
Keep your heart fixed upon Jesus. He is not merely the doorway into Christianity; He is the entire Christian life. Everything begins, continues, and ends with Him. Look to Him in temptation. Look to Him in suffering. Look to Him in success. Look to Him in weakness. The more you behold Christ, the more the Holy Spirit transforms you into His likeness.
Allow the Holy Spirit to produce His fruit rather than trying to manufacture Christian character by human effort. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control grow naturally as you remain connected to Christ, just as fruit grows naturally on a healthy branch.
Live with eternity in view. Every decision should be filtered through one question: “Will this bring glory to Christ?” Earthly achievements fade, but everything done in love and obedience to Jesus has eternal value.
Finally, remember that God desires this relationship even more than you do. WOW – THIS IS ASTONISHING, AWESOME AND TRUE !. The Father delights in His children. Jesus calls you His friend. The Holy Spirit has chosen to dwell within you. You are not striving to persuade God to love you more. You are learning to live in the love He has already poured out upon you.
Daily Prayer of Surrender
Father, today I give You my heart completely. I surrender my mind, my desires, my plans, my fears, and my future. Teach me to know You more deeply than ever before.
Lord Jesus, I choose to abide in You today. Be my wisdom, my strength, my righteousness, and my joy. Help me to walk as You walked, to love as You loved, and to obey as You obeyed the Father.
Holy Spirit, fill me afresh. Open my eyes to the Word of God. Guard my thoughts. Direct my steps. Convict me quickly when I stray. Produce Your fruit in my life and teach me to recognize Your gentle voice.
May every word I speak, every decision I make, every person I meet, and every moment I live bring honour to my Lord Jesus Christ. Keep me humble, teachable, joyful, thankful, and faithful until the day I see You face to face. In Jesus Name
Amen.
